Ute Weingarten

Ute Weingarten,
the head of the agency, received her Master’s in Art History at the Sorbonne in Paris and has been active in the international art world since 1993. She has been working in Berlin since 1996. After working as a journalist, she became a gallerist, then an art consultant and has been a press agent since 2002. Ute Weingarten has access to a solid network and extensive knowledge of the media landscape in Berlin. The combination of her traditional education as an art historian, her personal engagement and her fine sense for thematic and medial nuances have laid the foundation for an intimate cooperation with journalists and other partners in the media.

In 2004, U.W. founded the artpress agency, which today counts numerous Berlin institutions among its customers. Collaborations with international partners and national media have widened the scope of the agency’s work and have helped major exhibitions to attain prominence outside the Berlin-area.
